I am Jessie Lee: artist, melody-maker, adventurer. I live to express the surrounding creation and the pressing spirit within.
In my work, I strive to depict the tension between black and white, the tangible and the abstract, the mortal and the eternal. I believe the human figure to be a powerful metaphor for our growth and wasting away. Humanity and flesh beautifully represent our total depravity and simultaneous desire for truth. Thus, figurative motifs remain a constant image in my work. |
